Alec Baldwin will keynote CAPA’s Nov. 16 dinner following the first day of the mock trial State of Texas v. Harvey Oswald in Houston at the South Texas College of Law.

CAPA Legal Committee Co-Chair Lawrence Schnapf announced the participation of the stage, screen and television star as preparations ramp up for event Nov. 16 to 17.

The State of Texas v. Lee Harvey Oswald will be held on November 16th and 17th at the South Texas College of Law-Houston.

The CAPA Legal Committee co-chaired by attorneys Lawrence Schnapf and Bill Simpich is organizing the event in cooperation with the law school.  It will use 21st Century techniques and what has been learned from the Innocence Project and the 2009 National Academy Science report on forensic evidence to examine the evidence used by the Warren Commission and the House Select Committee on Assassinations to identify Lee Harvey Oswald as the alleged sole assassin of President John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963.

He has received a Tony nomination (A Streetcar Named Desire, 1992) an Oscar nomination (The Cooler, 2004) and has won two Emmy awards, three Golden Globes and seven consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards as Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on NBC-TV’s 30 Rock. He has been a regular host and guest star on Saturday Night Live. In 2016, Baldwin hosted a summer package of episodes of The Match Game, the classic television game show, on ABC. Additionally, this spring he began hosting The Essentials‘ on Saturday evenings on Turner Classic Movies.

On stage, he has appeared in productions of Loot (Theatre World Award), A Life In the Theater (Hartman), Prelude To A Kiss (Obie Award), MacBeth (NYSF), Gross Points (Bay Street), On The Twentieth Century (Roundabout), Entertaining Mr. Sloane (Laura Pels), Equus (Guild Hall), Orphans, All My Sons (Guild Hall).

His films include Miami Blues, The Hunt For Red October, Glengarry Glen Ross, Malice, The Edge, The Departed, It’s Complicated, Blue Jasmine, Still Alice, and Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. He recently voiced the lead character in the Dreamworks animated film The Boss Baby.

Baldwin is a 1994 BFA graduate of Tisch and received an honorary doctorate in 2010. He is Co-Chairman of the Board of the Hamptons International Film Festival, president of the board of Guild Hall in East Hampton. He serves on the board of People for the American Way, the New York Philharmonic and he is also the radio announcer for the New York Philharmonic.

With his wife, Hilaria Thomas Baldwin, he maintains The Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation, primarily supporting arts-related causes.

Baldwin has two daughters, Ireland Elliese Baldwin and Carmen Gabriela Baldwin and two sons, Rafael Thomas Baldwin and Leonardo Angel Charles Baldwin.
